A Healthy Diet Means a Healthy Body. We're amazed about modern science and how it could provide us with fast and instant meals. We find all of those instant food preparations so convenient that we never question what ingredients were used to make the convenience possible. Consequently, the long term effects of whatever was added in those foods slowly crept in and were manifested as health disorders. Still, modern science presented us with fast acting solutions that provided us with pills and miracle solutions. Yet it started to dawn on us that we are experiencing health problems that are in no way getting better. We couldn’t point out what exactly is causing all of these but they all started when we started changing our eating habits. We chose artificial and synthetic over natural or organic that we now suffer from the consequences of our choices. We forgot about nutritional values and gave more importance to what was palatably satisfying. Soon enough blood pressures began to rise, blood sugars became unstable, and excessive weight became the nemesis. The impact is so great that even children developed their own genetic defects in food absorption and immunity deficiencies. It’s not too late, though. We could still go back to what is traditional and healthy. People in the past lacked modern day medicines, yet they survived plagues and epidemics, which were mostly borne out of poor hygiene and not out of additives. In fact even then, proper food intake was the best remedy and prevention over the intake of medicinal cures. Medicine must have tasted so bad then that it was enough motivation to stay healthy. Let's re-invent our diets and make it a point to include all of the 14 superfoods that are proven as nutritious and detriment-preventive. It’s not so hard to find these foods because they are produced and sold in abundance even in the local farmers’ market. What’s a little inconvenience in food preparation if it means enjoying a good life in terms of good health?
